THE A59 near West Marton has reopened after a Liebherr crane left the road and collided with a wall in thick fog early this morning.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the single vehicle accident at just after 7am and closed the road to Gisburn in both directions at 7.40am.
The driver of the crane was taken by ambulance to Airedale Hospital with a head injury.
The road was reopened at 8.40am.
