THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow in Craven.
And heavy snow has already been reported on Newby Head Pass between Ingleton and Hawes.
The Met Office says an area of rain, sleet and snow will move southeastwards into the area later today and lasting into Friday morning.
Accumulations of five to ten centimetres are likely above 200m to 300m with locally two to four centimetres to around 100m.
There is a risk of difficult driving conditions and disruption to transport.
