POLICE are investigating after reports a man exposed himself and sexually assaulted a female jogger at Kildwick this morning.
North Yorkshire Police say the incident happened at around 7.45am.
The man – who ran off under the footbridge at Kildwick – is described as being aged between 20 and 30 and scruffy looking, with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark green jacket.
"This is an extremely concerning incident and extra patrols are in the area now to provide reassurance and gather evidence," said a police spokesperson.
Anyone with information, or CCTV footage which may assist with the investigation, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference NYP-09042024-0075.
