PLANS have been submitted to build a new home on land next to Hesley Lane in Rathmell, near Settle.
The application lodged with North Yorkshire Council proposes an 'infill' two-bedroom bungalow with access off Hesley Lane. The proposed bungalow will be built out of traditional materials with locally sourced natural stone and blue/grey roofing slate. Windows and doors will be timber and painted with Farrow and Ball 'lichen green'.
A design and access statement with the application state: "Access to the site is proposed from Hesley Lane, which itself runs through Rathmell is both wide enough to suit this proposal and affords the necessary sight lines.
"Other modification may be necessary and should be approved by Local Authority Highways Department. Landscaping and making good works to the more dilapidated areas will improve the visual amenity of the site."
