PETER Clegg is in charge at Alsager Town once again following the departure of Chris Ansell and Richard Mitchell.
Mr Clegg has returned as chairman, and has appointed former Witton Albion reserves coach Neil Gill as first team manager.
Alsager were relegated from the Northern Premier League last season to Division One of the North West Counties League for failing to meet ground grading requirements.
“I am delighted to be leading the club once again, and am looking forward to exciting times with fresh management teams for the first and second teams,” said Mr Clegg.
The club said Mr Clegg and Mr Gill were committed to bringing life back to the town ground.
“They want to take Alsager Town back into the Northern Premier League, but realise they have a huge task ahead of them, and promotion may be a few seasons down the line,” said the club.
“They want to restore the community feeling Wood Park once had, and for it to be a showcase for young local players.
“To make Alsager Town FC a success we need help, and lots of it!”
If you can help in any way ring Peter on 07976-254188.
Alsager’s first pre-season friendly is on Saturday July 12 at home to Witton Albion, kick off 3pm.
