YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) (BRIDLEWAY NO. 6 (part), LINTON) ORDER 2013 No. 1 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)

Notice is hereby given that the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic from proceeding along part of Bridleway No. 6 from point of closure at Grid Reference SD 9842 6229 for approximately 20 metres to Grid Reference SD 9843 6229 in the parish of Linton, in the district of Craven from 23 February, 2013 until 10 August, 2013 inclusive. The closure will be put into effect when necessary by means of the erection of notices and signs. It is envisaged that the works will be undertaken within two weeks. The Order is necessary because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Bridleway to repair a large culvert which has collapsed, causing flooding and damage to the surface of the track. The alternative route to be used during the closure period will be as follows:- From point of closure at SD 9843 6229, follow the bridleway north east for approximately 230 metres to the junction of the B6265 at grid reference SD 9854 6236. Turn north and follow the B6265 for approximately 950 metres to the junction of Moor Lane at grid reference SD 9880 6362. Turn west and follow Moor Lane track for approximately 520 metres to the boundary gate at Threshfield Moor, grid reference SD 9757 6301. Continue through the gate in a westerly direction, following the bridleway for approximately 1.9km to the parish boundary gate at SD 9582 6300. Turn south and follow the bridleway across Boss Moor for approximately 1.2km to the metalled road at grid reference SD 9557 6185. Turn south east and follow Boss Moor/Fleets Lane for approximately 2.9km to the junction at Hetton Road at grid reference SD 9635 5923. Turn north east and follow the road for approximately 1.2km to the junction of Swinden Lane, grid reference SD 9739 5989. Turn north and follow the bridleway along Swinden Lane for approximately 2.1km to grid reference SD 9719 6157, Linton Moor. Turn north east and follow bridleway (Moor Lane track) for approximately 1.3km to the point of closure at SD 9843 6229 and return.
