NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY FOOTPATH WO. 26 KETTLEWELL-WfTh-$TARBOTTON DIVERSION ORDER 2013

On 20 May, 2014, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath starting from a point on a track north west of Kettlewell New Bridge on the Dales Way at Grid Reference SD 9672 7223, running in a northerly direction down a stepped bank before curving north, north easterly to a point along the riverside at GR SD 9675 7231 to a line running from the track at GR SD 9672 7223, north, north westerly for approximately 65 metres before curving east, north east away from the track and gradually down to a level viewing platform alongside the river at GR SD 9675 7231, as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Office at Yoredale, Bainbridge, Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 3EL until 25 July, 2014. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained there and at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority Office at 'Colvend', Hebden Road, Grassington, Skipton BD23 5LB, free of charge.

The Order comes into force at the end of 210 days from the date of confirmation, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12 June, 2014, make an application to the High Court.
