(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)
(FOOTPATH NO. 28 (PART), HORTON-IN-RIBBLESDALE)
ORDER 2015 NO. 3 Road TrafflcRegulatlonAct 1984 -Section14(1) (asamended)

Notice is hereby given that the YorkshireDales National Park Authority has made an Order,the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along part of Footpath No.28 from the point of closure at Grid Reference SD 8070 7021 for a distance of approximately 136 metres to the point of closure at Grid Reference SD 8065 7034 in the Parish of  Horton-in-Ribblesdale, in the district of Craven from the 20 July, 2015 until 4 January, 2016 inclusive.
The closure will be put into effect when necessary by means of the erection of notices and signs. It is envisaged that the works will be undertaken within 6 months. The Order is necessary for reasons of public safety for the construction of a rail siding linking Arcow Quarry tothe Settle Carlisle railway line and installation of a footbridge. The alternative route to be used during the closure period will be as follows:-From the point of closure at GR SD 8070 7021 follow the footpath south west, then west south west for approx.213 metres to the junction with the quarry access road at SD 8056 7010 turning east south easterly along this road for approx.435 metres to where the RibbleWay heads under the railway bridge at SD 8097 6996.Follow the footpath north, north eastthen north, north west for approx.1189 metres to the north side of Cragg Hill Farm at SD 8060 7098 bearing west, then south, south westt hrough the farm yard continuing for approx.157 metres to the railway crossing at SD 8055 7083.Cross the railway and continu esouth then south, southeast for approx. 484 metres to the point of closure at GRSD 8065 7034 and return.
