YORKSHIRE DALES NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) (FOOTPATH NO. 25 (PART) (Suspension Bridge), HEBDEN& THORPE PARISHES), ORDER 2015 NO. 4 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section14 (1) (as amended)

Notice is hereby given that the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along part of Footpath No.25 from the point of closure at Grid Reference SD 0252 6234 for approximately 57 metres to the point of closure at Grid Reference SD 0257 6237 in the Parishesof Hebden and Thorpe, in the district of Craven from the14 September, 2015 until 29 February, 2016 inclusive.
The closure will be put into effect when necessary by meansof the erection of notices and signs. It is envisaged that the works will be undertaken within 6 months.
The Order is necessary for reasons of public safety for repairs to the suspension bridge.
The alternative route to be used during the closure period will be as follows:-
From the pointof closure at GR SD 0257 6237 in a north easterly direction to join Mill Lane county road bearing southeast follow the lane for approximately 1 km before turning south, south east along a footpath into the woodland and contouring south, southwesterly down to the riverside and the road bridge at Burnsall. Continue west, north west over the road bridge and then turn northerly to follow the Dales Way riverside footpath for approximately 1.7 km to the point of closure at GR SD 0252 6234 and return.
