PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PROVISION OF PARKING
(DISTRICT OF CRAVEN) (AMENDMENT NO 8) ORDER 2016
NOTICE is hereby given that North Yorkshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) and 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act and under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend "North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking) (District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013" by introducing the restrictions specified below:-
ROADS IN THE TOWN OF SETTLE Waiting limited between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday. Wednesday. Thursday, Friday | and Saturday to no longer than 2 hours, return prohibited within 2 hours
and
Prohibition of Waiting between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm on Tuesdays (Market Day)
Market Place (All Sides) - The area known as Market Place which is owned by Settle Town Council, that being:-
The area that is north of The Town Hall, east of Church Street and west of the road that crosses the Market Place in a north west to south east direction;
The area that is to the west of The Shambles, south of Market Place (North) and north of the road that
crosses the Market Place in a north west to south east direction;
The area that is to the east of The Shambles and west of Market Place (East); and
The area that is to the south of The Shambles and west of Market Place (East).
Prohibition of Waiting at all times except for disabled person's vehicles High Street (West Side) - From a point 1.3 metres north of the north channel line of Cheapside, north for | a distance of 10.4 metres.
Bishopdale Court (the area owned by Settle Town Council to the west of Church Street) (South Side) - From a point 8.9 metres west of the west channel line of Church Street, west for a distance of 4.1 metres.
Prohibition of Waiting at any time Church Street/Duke Street (Both Sides) - From its junction with Townhead, to a point opposite the building corners of No 2 and 3 Duke Street excluding the length of the two puffin crossing controlled areas. Market Place North & Constitution Hill (North Side) - From its junction with Church Street, east for a distance of 67.0 metres.
Constitution Hill (South Side) - From its junction with Market Place East, east for a distance of 12.0 metres. Market Place North/Constitution Hill (South Side) - From its junction with Church Street, east to its junction with Market Place East.
Cheapside (North Side) - From its junction with Church Street, east to its junction with High Street. Cheapside (South Side) - From its junction with Church Street, east for a distance of 3.9 metres. Cheapside (South Side) - From a point 37.2 metres east of its junction with Church Street, to its junction with High Street.
High Street (West Side) - From its junction with Cheapside, to its junction with Chapel Street.
Market Place East & High Street (East Side) - From its junction with Constitution Hill, to its junction with
Castle Hill.
Market Place East (West Side) - From its junction with Market Place North, to its junction with the road
which crosses the Market Place in a north west to south east direction.
High Street (East Side) - From its junction with Castle Hill, south for a distance of 5.8 metres.
High Street (West Side) - From its junction with Cheapside, north for a distance of 1.3 metres.
High Street (West Side) - From a point 11.7 metres north of its junction with Cheapside, north for a
distance of 5.1 metres.
High Street (East Side) - From a point 21.4 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, south for a distance of 8.6 metres.
High Street (East Side) - From a point 35.6 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, to its junction with Chapel Street.
Market Place (the road which crosses the Market Place in a north west to south east direction) (Both Sides) - From the junction with Church Street, to the junction with High Street. Castle Hill (South Side) - From its junction with High Street, north east for a distance of 10.0 metres. Castle Hill (North Side) - From its junction with High Street, east for a distance of 3.6 metres. Castle Hill (North Side) - From a point 8.9 metres east of its junction with High Street, east for a distance of 3.4 metres.
Delaney Court (Both Sides) - From the west channel line of High Street, west for a distance of 28.0 metres.
Delaney Court Spur (Both Sides) - From the south channel line of Delaney Court, south for a distance of 5.5 metres.
Prohibition of Waiting except for Loading
Cheapside (South Side) - From a point 3.9 metres east of its junction with Church Street, eastwards for
14.1 metres.

High Street (East Side) - From a point 11.5 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, south for a distance of 9.9 metres.
Waiting limited between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Saturday, to no longer than | 30 minutes, return prohibited within 2 hours
Cheapside (South Side) - From a point 18.0 metres east of its junction with Church Street, eastwards for
19.2 metres.

High Street (East Side) - From a point 5.8 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, south for a distance of 5.7 metres.
High Street (East Side) - From a point 30.0 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, south for a distance of 5.6 metres.
Castle Hill (North Side) - From a point 3.6 metres east of its junction with High Street, east for a distance of 5.3 metres.
Bishopdale Court (the area owned by Settle Town Council to the west of Church Street) (South Side) - From a point 1.3 metres west of the west channel line of Church Street, west for a distance of 7.6 metres.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton and at Settle Library, Limestone View, Lower Greenfoot, Settle, North Yorkshire BD24 9RB during normal office hours from | 21 January 2016 until 12 February 2016 and also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/notices.
