NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15(3) OR ARTICLE 16 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Proposed development at Arcow Quarry, Helwith Bridge, Horton in Ribblesdale I give notice that Tarmac Trading Ltd is applying to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority for planning permission for resumption of mineral extraction at Arcow Quarry; retention of the existing processing plant until progressively replaced by a new mobile processing plant; retention of the railhead and the completion of site restoration in accordance with an amended nature conservation and landscaping scheme during the following 12 months. The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated. The proposed development to which the application relates is situated within 10 metres of relevant railway land. Members of the public may inspect copies of: - the application - the plans - the environmental statement - and other documents submitted with the application at the Dry Rigg Quarry office during all reasonable hours until 21 days from the date of this notice. Members of the public may obtain copies of the environmental statement from J Hollister, AECOM, Royal Court, Basil Close, Chesterfield, S41 7SL at a charge of £100.00 for a paper copy and £10.00 for a copy on CD. Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application should write to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, Yoredale, Bainbridge, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 3EL by 21 days from the date of this notice.
