Jennie Cottam Tribute

Dear Nigel, Rachel, Sarah and Claire and other next relatives,

First of all, we want to express our deepest sympathy with the loss of your loved wife, mother (in-law) and grandmother.

Remembering Jennie is a warm remembrance for all of us.
I met Jennie in 1985 in Mook, my fist camp as a leader at the Sterrenvendel guides. It was also Jennie’s first joint camp. That created a bond. And the connection was there! Jennie turned out to be a good writer and we started sending each other letters during many, many years, so I was fully informed by her of all the things happening in her family and around De Mohicanen in Ilkley. We swapped badges, exchanged music tapes (!) and stories. I joined her hospitality during joint comps one year, she stayed at our place the other and we had great fun during the camps and other visits which took place during all the years. It was so really nice she came over for our wedding in 1993 and she intensively enjoyed the full day! She was such a nice and warm person, interested in all people’s well-being. She shared the happiness she had of her grandchildren, marriages and so on. Also, she was very interested in how everything was going around here in The Hague.
We will really miss her. It has been an honor knowing her. Please find some pictures we will cherish. Our thoughts are with you all, wishing you and your loved ones all strength during this difficult time.

Warmest regards,
Geert & Anita
and Sanne and Merel van Drimmelen
