Women’s Institute: President Sue Brown welcomed members and visitors to the July meeting. Business matters were attended to and accounts were given on various activities that had taken place. Members had attended an evening with Pam Rhodes at Giggleswick School and also visited Burton-in-Lonsdale WI to hear guest speaker Dulcie Lewis. Ingleton’s guest speaker, Isobel Stirk, gave a talk on the Life of the Bronte Family. Offers of help and contributions of cakes were requested for the gala on Saturday. The next meeting is on Monday, August 12, when Pat Pickard will give a talk on Changing Times – A Nurses Journey. It will take place at the Ingleborough Community Centre at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome.
