Craven Speakers Club member Judith Allinson proved she has the gift of the gab. She won the Yorkshire Dales Area Speakers Topic Competition held in Halifax.

Fifteen people, representing five clubs, were challenged to give a three-minute speech just seconds after being told the topic. Judith, who lives in Settle, will now represent the area at a district competition, at Wetherby, in March.
