"ONE Climate, One World" was the message of Ben Oldham of CAFOD, guest speaker at Churches Together in Settle and District's One World Week meal.
More than 50 people met in the newly refurbished Catholic church hall in Settle and shared a meal made almost entirely of local produce.
Ben, a former student of Giggleswick School, who now works for CAFOD Leeds, showed a short film of how changing climate is making rains less predictable in Kenya and how CAFOD is helping people on farms there.
Many of the people signed pledges to show how they would reduce their carbon emissions.
The event was organised by the Justice and Peace Group of Churches Together, which will next meet on Wednesday for a talk on Palestine/Israel by Annie Nelligan.
