SETTLE Rotarians have drawn up an itinerary for Santa to meet as many local children as possible in the run-up to Christmas.
He will start his busy programme at Booths supermarket on Saturday, where he will be in attendance from 10am to 2pm before moving to his grotto in Settle Market Place for the switch-on of the festive lights.
Santa will then tour the area with his helpers from the Rotary Club.
Club president Michael Cullingworth said: “I hope everyone will take advantage of Santa’s schedule to come and see him when he is touring or at one of the supermarkets on a Saturday. He does like to meet children of all ages."
The programme is (starting from 5.30pm unless shown otherwise): Monday, December 1 - Long Preston; Tuesday, December 2 and Friday, December 5 - Hellifield; Wednesday, December 3 - Settle's Mill Close and Northfields; Thursday, December 4 - Upper Settle and Longdale Avenue; Monday, December 8 - Clapham followed by Austwick; Tuesday, December 9 - Rathmell followed by Wigglesworth; Wednesday, December 10 - Giggleswick village; Monday, December 15 - Horton-in-Ribblesdale followed by Stainforth; Tuesday, December 16 - The Mains, Giggleswick, followed by Stackhouse; Wednesday, December 17 - Settle's Duke Street and Cammock Lane; Thursday, December 11 - Langcliffe (5pm); and Friday, December 19 - Settle's Townhead, Church Street and Kings Mill.
Santa will also visit the Co-op, Settle, next Saturday, December 6, from 10am to 4pm and Booths on Saturdays, December 13 and 20, from 10am to 4pm.
