THERE are still a few places available for anyone who would like to participate in Barnoldswick's second Santa Fun Run.
The fun run, which raises money for Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends, will be held on Sunday.
If anyone wants to register they can do so online at bebosomfriends.org.uk or they can go to West Craven Sports Centre tomorrow between 7pm and 8pm, where the organisers will be handing out Santa suits to those who want to collect them before Sunday.
The run sets off at 11am on Sunday from the West Craven Sports Centre. Registration begins at 10am.
Bosom Friends will also hold a Balloon Day next Sunday, December 14.
It gives local people a chance to let off a balloon in memory of a loved one during the festive season.
Although Bosom Friends is a cancer support group, they are inviting the whole community to join in irrespective of whether they lost a loved one to cancer.
People are invited to the Pensioners Centre just off the Barnoldswick town square from 1pm to collect their balloons and write their messages, which are then attached to the balloon.
Those taking part will then assemble in the town square at 2.30pm for a moment of reflection before releasing the balloons into the sky. Balloons cost just 50p each.
Coates Lane Primary School choir will also be singing carols and there will be a guest singing appearance from local girl, 10-year-old Amelia Norcross, who was diagnosed with leukaemia when she was three.
The Pensioners Centre will be serving tea, coffee, mulled wine and mince pies.
