PART of the new Christmas film Get Santa was shot in Appletreewick.
For two weeks, the Craven Arms' Cruck Barn was transformed into the control centre for Santa mapping and tracking his flight paths as he travelled around the world.
And it later to become the operations room for a daring rescue plan to release him from prison after he was arrested for trying to catch a lost reindeer to enable him to continue his travels.
At one stage, the barn and its surroundings were covered in artificial snow to film the comings and goings of sledges.
A spokesman for the Craven Arms said: "The whole production team was very professional and highly organised. There were 100 people on site involved in the production each with their own specific job ensuring that a significant amount of filming was achieved in a comparatively short time.
"There was certainly none of the hanging about so often seen with film crews."
