A CLASSIC car driver has died in hospital nearly three weeks after he was involved in an accident near Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
Howard Turner, 59, from Shelf, died from multiple injuries in Leeds General Infirmary last Thursday.
He was driving an Austin Healey Sprite car as part of the Ilkley Jubilee Historic Car Rally on Sunday April 15 when he was in collision with a Honda motorbike on the B6479 Mr Turner's passenger, and the rider and pillion passenger on the bike, were also taken to hospital.
Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the crash, which occurred near the junction with Dub Cote Lane at 10.55am. Anyone with information is asked to call Traffic Constable Mark Tiffany on 01423 539726.
