THE sun shone down on 12-year-old Eleanor Coultherd on Saturday as she carried out her duties as this year's Long Preston May Queen.
The Settle Middle School pupil took centre stage at the Maypole Green alongside her attendants, one of whom was her seven-year-old sister, Emelia.
The good weather brought out plenty of visitors who enjoyed activities on the playing fields after the official crowning ceremony and maypole dancing.
Eleanor's six attendants were her sister Emelia, Charlotte Smith, Imogen Daley, Jack Mellin, Robert Capstick and Jake Lye.
