GIGGLESWICK Parish Council is trying to put the brakes on the riding of "junior mopeds" on the village's Harrison Playing Fields.
Councillors say the practice is both illegal and dangerous and the matter has been brought to the attention of the police.
The council is also concerned about the recent outbreak of vandalism, resulting in damage to two seats on Church Street, the disappearance of a gate at the Memorial Bridge, and incidents of unsightly graffiti in the village.
