TEN people have been arrested by police investigating dozens of incidents of card fraud at Skipton's Tesco filling station.
Officers say that over the past month, the filling station, on Craven Street, has been the target of people using cloned cards to obtain fuel.
Most of the offences have been committed at night, when the petrol kiosk is unmanned and motorists have to use their cards to pay for their petrol.
There were 67 incidents in April alone and the stolen fuel is said to be worth thousands of pounds.
Police mounted an operation on two nights earlier this week and arrested 10 people.
One person appeared before Skipton magistrates on Wednesday charged with theft from an automatic machine and possessing an article in the use of fraud.
He was granted bail and will reappear before the court on Wednesday June 6.
The other nine arrested people have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Two vehicles were also seized during the operation and one has been identified as being stolen from the Manchester area.
"Our inquiries are still ongoing and we will be going through all the CCTV footage," said Sgt Kevin Wilson.
All those arrested are from the Bradford area.
