THE Craven Herald is holding its first Skipton Recruitment and Training Fair.

The event, sponsored by Craven College, will be held at the college's Skipton High Street campus on Thursday May 24, from 9.30am to 4pm.

The fair is free to Craven Herald readers and to anyone seeking employment or training.

Amanda White, events manager for the Bradford group of Newsquest, said: "The event has been designed to tell potential candidates about a whole range of career opportunities, with top quality employers and training providers on hand."

The Recruitment and Training Fair will bring together employers and prospective employees.

And, even if it does not bring a job offer, the event can provide valuable experience and useful contacts for the future.

"Many of the top companies in the area will be attending," added Amanda. "There will be Craven College, Acorn Stairlifts, Homeloan Management, Orchard Care Homes, Recruitment 2000, Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants, the Army, Shard Recruitment and the Craven Herald.

"With so many major employers, training providers and recruitment agencies on hand with advice and information, the recruitment and training fair could lead to the career of your dreams."
