IT will be "all hands to the pumps" at Skipton Town Hall this weekend.

The Keighley and Craven branch of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) is organising the town's first beer festival for more than 25 years. People will be able to sample more than 50 different cask-conditioned ales from breweries near and far.

The festival will run between noon and 10pm tomorrow and Saturday, and from noon to 6pm on Sunday.

Town councillor Carole Manley will open the event and proceeds will go to The Prostate Cancer charity.

There will also be live music tomorrow and Saturday nights in the shape of Undercover and The Hot Pot Belly Band respectively, while on Saturday afternoon there will be music from local Irish band Instruments of Torture.

Food and snacks will be available and there will be a free minibus service between Skipton railway station and the town hall during festival opening hours.
