A GROUP of sixth form students from Ermysted's Grammar School, Skipton, have been recognised for completing a year's voluntary work in the local community.
Sixteen pupils took part in the scheme, organised by the Craven Volunteer Centre, and undertook tasks ranging from helping out in charity shops, conservation work, assisting in primary schools and shopping for older people.
Certificates were presented to the pupils by headmaster, Tom Ashworth, who praised the students for their hard work and commitment.
