BURGLARS targeted three neighbouring properties at Railway Cottages, Bolton Abbey.
They smashed their way into the homes between 10.40am and 12.40am last Wednesday and made untidy searches.
Their haul included distinctive pieces of jewellery.
These were a gold Rotary watch engraved with "Appreciation from Heaps Tours 1979" and a white faced Seiko titanium kinetic watch worth £550.
The thieves also took DVDs, handbags and credit cards, which were later used in Burnley and Accrington.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses and want information about a metallic blue car, which was seen in the area at 10am.
Anyone who can help should call the police on 0845 6060 247.
