A MAN was headbutted after he stopped to challenge a group of youths hurling abuse at passers-by on Black Walk, Skipton.
The 48-year-old victim was walking along the pathway at 7.30pm on Friday.
When he confronted the group one of them headbutted him, leaving him with a bloodied nose and swelling.
Other members of the group pulled him away from the victim. They referred to him as "Danny" and he was aged 18 and five ft nine ins tall. He wore a white shirt and blue jacket.
