STAFF recall with fondness landlady Caroline Wooler's unusual fundraisers - such as fire and glass walking.
But Caroline won't be calling the shots in future as she and her partner, Dennis Thornborrow, have called last orders at the Cross Keys in Otley Road, Skipton, after ten years in charge.
For Caroline the departure is a much tougher wrench - she has worked behind the bar at the pub since 1983, reckoning to be the longest serving barmaid in Skipton.
She said: "Staff and customers used to dread me organising charity events, they would say oh! what have you got us involved in this time.
"Over the years we have had good, caring and loyal customers and have raised over £20,000 for local charities such as Manorlands, the British Heart Foundation, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Airedale Hospital special baby care unit and the Little Heros children's cancer group."
Caroline is holding a farewell party as a thank you to staff and customers on Saturday, with live music from Street Legal.
