A FUNDRAISER who has been helping Christian Aid in Settle for half-a-century has been presented with a certificate to mark her achievement.
Phillis Walker started organising the annual Settle coffee evening for the charity 50 years ago, and has now been made 'diamond fundraiser' in Christian Aid's 60th year.
She is pictured receiving her certificate from Sally Waterson, secretary of Settle Churches Together, and fundraiser Richard Pike.
The presentation took place at the latest Settle Christian Aid coffee evening, which raised a total of £366.
Churches Together in Settle and District have now taken on Mrs Walker's good work by organising the coffee evening, a street collection and a house collection.
The images show Mrs Phillis Walker receiving her certificate from Sally Waterson, Secretary of Settle Churches Together, with Richard Pike, a local fundraiser, looking on. Also, the happy crowd enjoying the refreshments and stalls on the evening.
