AN EVENT celebrating all the people who work hard to improve the area and help fellow residents is on track for this weekend at the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
Groups and bodies from across Craven will have stalls at Embsay and Bolton Abbey stations as part of ‘Local Heroes’, from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Among those taking part are North Yorkshire Fire Service, Skipton and Upper Wharfedale Air Cadets, Skipton and Craven Action for Disability, Cancer Support Yorkshire, North Yorkshire Air Ambulance fundraisers and the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
There are also stalls from the Friends of Airedale Hospital, Sue Ryder, Furever Loved small animal rescue and Embsay pre-school-fundraising group, as well as a variety of vehicles from Police Car Hire UK.
Railway business manager Stephen Walker said it was great to help other local groups increase awareness and raise some funds.
