A DECATHLETE who won a medal in the Commonwealth Games is to bring his wealth of experience in coaching to an athletics camp at Giggleswick School.
Jamie Quarry, who took a bronze in the decathlon at the Manchester games of 2002, will lead the athletics course, for children aged 11-15, from April 3 to April 5, during the Easter holidays.
The camp, for boys and girls of all abilities, will look at fundamental aspects of running, jumping and throwing alongside a more detailed analysis of core strength, balance and co-ordination. It is open to pupils and non-pupils of Giggleswick School.
Jamie also took part in the decathlon in the Commonwealth Games in 1994 and 1998, and is a former bobsleigh international.
