YORKSHIRE Housing business enterprise coach Sheila McFee, of Skipton, has won a national honour.
She picked up the Enterprise Support Champion top spot at the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE) Celebrating Enterprise Awards 2018.
It was her mix of knowledge, experience and heartfelt passion for her work which saw her win the accolade.
Sheila works in the community investment team at Yorkshire Housing which has a range of services available to help tenants and the wider community, including employability and business coaching, grants for personal development and grants for community schemes.
She said: “I’m absolutely thrilled. I really do love what I do, I get such a buzz from helping people start their businesses – I’m just very proud to have my work recognised.”
Employment and enterprise team leader Nikki Flett, who nominated Sheila, said: “Her positive outlook and caring nature means that she is able to support our customers to turn their dreams of starting their own business into a reality.”
The awards took place at the Houses of Parliament in London.
