LOCAL singing group Octameron will be in concert at St John's Methodist Church on Saturday October 5, at 7pm, to raise money for Settle Swimming Pool.
A varied programme will include some decidedly watery items, including The Water of Tyne, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Singin' In The Rain!
Armed with lots of new repertoire, Octameron will entertain with their usual mix of styles and genres, ranging from the early music of William Byrd to the present day popular style of Simon and Garfunkel and ABBA.
In between, sacred items will rub shoulders with folk tunes, 1950s swing numbers and songs from musicals, catering for every musical taste!
Tickets, price £8, are available from the swimming pool (telephone 01729 823626), their charity shop in Duke Street and on the door.
