A ‘SIGNIFICANT ‘ increase in the number of Skipton Academy students are set to join Ilkley Grammar School’s sixth form later this year.
Last year, the school became part of the Moorlands Learning Trust, and Ilkley Grammar School.
Richard McManus, principal of Skipton Academy, said: “I am delighted our students have the opportunity to continue their post 16 education within Moorlands Learning Trust at the outstanding Ilkley Grammar School. This is one of the many advantages of joining the trust as our students will now benefit from this and many other aspects of working closely with an outstanding comprehensive school. It is fantastic to know that when our students leave us at the end of Year 11 they can continue to be educated by a school which shares our vision and desire for them to achieve their full potential.”
