SKIPTON Morrisons have been delivering groceries to the community’s elderly and vulnerable customers through their free Doorstep Deliveries service during the Covid19 pandemic.
Sidney Woods, from Long Ashes, near Grassington, has been a loyal customer of Morrisons for many years, but at 101 years old has decided that the time has come to let someone else do his shopping. Sidney a former captain in the Merchant Navy for 50 years and WW2 veteran, said: “This is such a wonderful service Morrisons provides and I’m very grateful that I can get my shopping brought to my door each week.”
Doorstep Deliveries is a convenient and easy to use service that is also available for people who are isolating or shielding. Customers simply write their usual shopping list, then place their order over the phone to the customer service team.
The following day, a member of the Skipton store’s Doorstep Delivery team will shop for your fresh, frozen or ambient groceries and deliver them to your doorstep.
