RESIDENTS at The Dales care home, in Draughton, enjoyed preparing for Remembrance Sunday by helping create their own poppy display as part of their continuing ‘life enrichment’ programme.
Roisin Doyle, general manager at The Dales, said: “Ensuring residents feel engaged and connected within our homes is more important than ever. Our residents have really enjoyed Remembrance Day activities. We provide a wide range of activities at care home as part of the life enrichment programme for residents, and this one was very popular.
Our varied activities programme allows us to provide stimulation of the mind, body and soul for residents in group activities, as well as one-to-one. We have also adapted ways to keep residents active, whilst ensuring that the group activities are smaller, adhering to current government social distancing advice.”
The Dales is run by Barchester Healthcare.
