THE Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust has received a £375,000 boost thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

The support will allow the Clapham-based charity to continue expanding its work to support the people, landscape and wildlife of the Dales.

It has now received £2,851,332 in funding from the lottery since 2009, taking the partnership into its 12th year.

“We are really humbled by the support we receive from players of People’s Postcode Lottery,” said YDMT Chief Executive David Sharrod.

“It has enabled us to continue long-running projects such as woodland planting and wildflower meadow restoration as well as invest more in delivering education and training, outreach and community grants.

“This incredible, ongoing and flexible support has transformed us a charity and continues to have a huge impact on what we can achieve. We’d like to thank players and all at People’s Postcode Lottery for making it happen.”

Will Humpington, climate change and environmental programmes advisor at People’s Postcode Lottery, added he was very pleased with the partnership. The flexible funding will allow YDMT to continue their great work in the Dales, shaping the environment and creating breathing spaces for all, alongside supporting the communities of this unique place.

“Without players of People’s Postcode Lottery this funding simply wouldn’t be possible, so it is thanks to them.”
