CHILDREN at Austwick Primary School and Nursery have enjoyed their end of term Easter celebrations.
Easter celebrations are an annual tradition at the school with weird and wonderful Easter bonnets and decorated eggs on the last day of term. This year the children instead submitted photos of their Easter craft competition entries online, on the theme of ‘hope’.
Children still wore Easter outfits - chickens, lambs and a whole colony of bunnies. They all enjoyed an Easter breakfast of hot cross buns and an egg hunt. These had to be within their three class ‘bubbles’ this year.
Headteacher Jo Brookes said: “It has been lovely to see the children enjoy some semblance of normality with our Easter celebrations. We’ve made the most of our large grounds to have a fun day whilst staying in our class bubbles. ”
