CAVE rescue volunteers were called out to help an 'unresponsive' male next a footpath in Low Bentham who turned out to be very drunk.
A team responded to a call to assist the ambulance service following reports of someone being found on farmland by a dog walker at just after midnight on March 16.
A Cave Rescue Organisation spokesperson said: “When Yorkshire Ambulance Service staff got to the scene they found that the reported casualty was in fact very drunk. The drunk person got up and left the scene before YAS could help him. CRO were stood down as we arrived at the nearest road head.”
