Trees are being planted around Arncliffe as part of the district’s efforts to tackle climate change and ‘re-wild’ parts of the area which would once have been covered in forest but was adapted over the centuries to create farmland and grazing areas.
To help in the effort, Bradford SNM Centre for Oneness volunteers and YORgreencic members planted around 600 trees at Brootes Lane, Arncliffe, on Good Friday.
In total they have planted 9,500 trees this season.
The SNM group was formed in 2017. The group’s ethos is ‘serving humanity irrespective of faith, colour, gender or background. We are all human-beings, let’s celebrate life together.’
