A PLANNING application has been lodged with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority for permission to covert Middle Mearbeck Barn, Long Preston, into two residential dwellings for use as holiday lets/local occupancy.
The application was lodged on March 30 and includes an application for listed building consent.
The design and access statement says whilst not listed in its own right the barn is considered to be within the curtilage of the listed farmhouse.
It is a combination ‘laithe’ barn with cart entrance, porch and outshut shippon to the south side with separated byres with haylofts to the east and west ends.
