BRADLEY In Bloom community garden project has received a generous donation from Myers Building Supplies, Skipton.
The current project involves regeneration of Bradley Village Hall grounds and includes a community vegetable garden in a dedicated area behind the hall.
Andy Holmes of Myers Building Supplies arranged the donation of 36 railway sleepers which will be used to build four raised beds and will be a great boost to the project. The group hopes to involve school children and volunteers in planting, growing and harvesting a range of fruit and vegetables which will also be available to village residents. The group is busy fundraising for garden sundries, plants, compost, water butts, herb planters, fruit trees, seating etc and are looking for more sponsors / donations to enable them to complete the project and protect it in the long term. Anyone interested in volunteering or donating to the project should contact Susan Dobson at secretary@bradleyinbloom.com.
