UPPER Wharfedale Fell Rescue had a very busy day on Saturday with three calls outs in under five hours.
Grassington based UWFRA were called out to a woman in her 70s who had fallen in Skipton Woods, a teenager who had suffered an injury at Nidd Gorge, Knaresborough, and a man with a broken ankle at Brimham Rocks.
The Grassington based team was first called out at 12.46pm to assist a 73 year old woman who had fallen and sustained facial injuries and a suspected fractured wrist. A spokesperson said: "Team members assisted the Yorkshire Ambulance Service crew to walk the lady out to the road ambulance."
The second call-out came at 2.47pm to Nidd Gorge.
The spokesperson said: "We had a call from YAS to assist with a difficult extraction of a 15 year old female with knee injury.
"The air ambulance was on scene and the first team members there assisted using the air ambulance scoop stretcher.
"As team vehicles arrived on scene the casualty was safely in the ambulance."
The last call to Brimham Rocks, came at 5.31pm.
"The team was deployed to Brimham rocks where a 26 year old male had sustained a broken ankle. The team assisted the ambulance crew and transported the casualty to the ambulance."
Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation was also called out twice during the weekend.
