Rev Paul Fisher 50th anniversary of ordination
A SPECIAL service of Holy Communion was held on Sunday at Settle Parish Church to mark his 50th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood of Rev Paul Fisher.
He was ordained in Worcester Cathedral on June 27, 1971 and his ministry has taken him, his wife, Sue, together with children, Helen and Michael north to work in the Carlisle Diocese and south to serve in the Southwark Diocese. He also worked in Sweden.
He and Sue ‘retired’ to Langcliffe in 2000. Paul is a talented musician and composer, including organ music, performing organ concerts locally at Holy Ascension and St Alkelda’s.
