NORTH Craven golfer Eddie Kidd who made headlines last year after taking a golfing lesson aged 89 and then almost immediately winning two competitions at Settle and Giggleswick Golf Club has done it again.
Honorary Secretary Peter Johnson said: “Eddie, just keeps on going from strength to strength. Yesterday, July 15, was our TOFF’s (the over fifty fives) captain’s day. Senior Settle golfers turned out in force on a beautiful day to compete for the much-coveted trophy.
“Now aged 90 and three quarters Eddie won the competition by five clear points. Following his triumph and after enjoying a meal provided by the senior’s captain, Eddie then celebrated by doing the washing up.
A beaming Eddie was presented with a bottle of wine for his win by TOFF’S captain Mike Noble.
