THE North of England’s gas distributor, Northern Gas Networks (NGN), has been awarded a Gold Medal by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for excellent health and safety practices during 2020.
The Gold Medal is an honour bestowed after a fifth consecutive year of NGN achieving a Gold award; demonstrating the company’s strong commitment to the safety of the 2.7 million homes and businesses it serves, and its 1,500 colleagues.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards recognise important achievements in health and safety management systems, including good practice in the areas of leadership and workforce involvement.
Organisations receiving RoSPA Awards are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.
All the submissions are independently assessed by a RoSPA panel.
