BARNOLDSWICK based Hope Technology - which made bikes used in this year’s Tokyo Olympics - is behind a fundraising static bike challenge due to take place on Saturday, September 18.
Organised by Barnoldswick and Earby Rotary Club, the static bike challenge in Barnoldswick town square will raise money for the charity Prostate Cancer UK.
Teams of four - using static bikes provided by Hope - will be challenged to see how far they can ride from 10am to 2pm.
There will also be a chance for individual riders to do a 10-minute stint for a small fee towards the charity, and there will also be prizes.
The club’s Eric Firth said: “Come on cyclists, help to make it a big day for fun and in aid of a charity fighting a disease which has claimed so many victims and lives.”
Teams pay £40 per team to enter, plus anything riders can make in sponsorship. To enter phone Eric on 07778216585 or go to Barnoldswick and Earby Rotary Club on Facebook.
