SKIPTON Town Ladies secured their first win of the campaign at the weekend after beating Ackworth Girls FC Ladies 4-1 at home.

The goals came from Emily Throup, 'Beth' (X2) and 'Corina'.

It was a fine display from the hosts and a victory they will be proud of as Ackworth thrashed Tyersal AFC Women 5-0 on the opening day.

Skipton were able to move on from their opening day defeat when they lost 5-3 at Dewsbury.

The victory sees them move up to seventh in the West Riding County Womens Football League Division 1 standings .

Leeds United U21's currently sit in first place with an astonishing plus 20 goal difference, following their most recent victory at home to Ilkley Town AFC Women.

The scoreline in that one was 10-1 to the U21 outfit.

Elsewhere in Division 1, Farsley Celtic Juniors FC Ladies Reserve dismantled Pheonix FC Ladies in a ruthless fashion.

Farsley were far superior and claimed am eye-catching 15-1 victory.

Skipton next return to action on Sunday when they host Tyersal AFC Women.
