YOUNGSTERS from Kettlewell Primary School are the envy of the nation after meeting the cast and crew of All Creatures Great and Small.
The popular TV series is back on the screens and the children were lucky enough to visit the cast and crew whilst filming nearby.
Despite their excitement, the children managed to keep very quiet while watching the live action being filmed. Then James and Tristram (actors Nicholas Ralph and Callum Woodhouse) took time out to talk to the children and answer all kinds of questions.
The children have been tuning in to spot the farms and familiar local settings of friends and family, on Channel 5 on Friday evenings such as Grassington being transformed into 1930s Darrowby. Pupils have been inspired and many Year 6s are reading James Herriot books.
Families from further afield who have been captivated by the stunning scenery and settings of the TV series can also discover what a unique place Upper Wharfedale is for children to live and learn, by visiting the Open Days for the four schools of the Primary Federation in the coming weeks: Cracoe & Rylstone Primary School Monday, October 11, Kettlewell Primary School Tuesday, October 12, Grassington and Burnsall Primary schools, Wednesday, October 13.
