SKIPTON Properties has handed a cheque to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice after employees took on a virtual challenge.
The aim was to cover the distance between Skipton and the two European towns it’s twinned with – Erquinghem-Lys in France and Simbach in Germany.
Over four weeks the team individually walked, jogged, ran and swam the 912-mile distance, raising £9,651 for the hospice.
Sarah Barraclough, managing director of Skipton Properties, visited the hospice to present the cheque to head of hospice fundraising, Rachel Binns. Sarah said: “Manorlands hospice carries out essential work in our local area and it’s a cause that is very close to our hearts. We heard that the pandemic was having a huge impact on its funding, and we wanted to show our support.”
